Image Builder Overview

The traditional method of installing operating systems from DVDs does not match today’s realities in hybrid cloud environments. Image Builder provides a streamlined experience so that your system images can be built in a more consistent and supportable way, tailored to your environments.

CentOS SIG Infrastructure is currently unable to setup a Image Builder instance. So as SIG, we are unable to provide generic images.

But generic images isn't what Image Builder is for. It is for customized images that end users can create for themselves.

So, as a SIG, we decided we would provide instructions and templates to make it easy for users to create their own custom images using Red Hat's Image builder.
